Credentials & Overview of Service Offerings

Neil retired from the Deloitte New Zealand partnership in September 2001 after 28 years with the international firm and now operates his own part-time consultancy business. Before immigrating to New Zealand in 1988 he had an extensive background in the provision of a broad range of assurance, business advisory and financial management services to a diverse range of organisations in the United Kingdom, Malawi and Zimbabwe.

In the early years of his time with Deloitte in New Zealand Neil was extensively involved in the implementation of Financial Management Reform in the Public Sector and in a wide range of consultancy projects. In the late 1990's he was the Partner responsible for human resource consulting services in New Zealand. At the end of December 2000 he completed a 14 month secondment to the Health Funding Authority as Interim Chief Financial Officer. Over many years of practice Neil has grown and developed expertise that is a unique blend of a wide range of skills and experience. He now provides and offers distinctive services grounded on being a trusted advisor, facilitator and coach to organisations and individuals.

He currently serves on several advisory boards and finance, audit and risk committees and acts as financial and business advisor to various organisations. He continues to act as a trainer and coach for training courses in leadership and management for the Asia region of Deloitte. He also acts as a facilitator and advisor on specific initiatives and projects focussing on Public Benefit Entities with a particular emphasis on the Health Sector.
